Day 1

Depart home’s airport

Enjoy meals and entertainment during your flight. Reception with assistance and transfer to the designated hotel.

Dinner and overnight Tel Aviv

 

Day 2 

Up to the Galilee

Breakfast in the hotel; Explore Joppa where Prophet Jonah attempted to flee from God and the Apostle Peter had his rooftop vision. Afterwards, tour Caesarea Maritima with its Roman Theatre, Aqueduct and Crusader City. Continuing to Mt. Carmel, imp0ortant center of Prophet Elias work; Cross the Valley of Armageddon to Nazareth, the city where Jesus spent his Childhood, Adolescence and Manhood. See the Basilica of the Annunciation, Jesus “Synagogue” before continue to Cana of Galilee, the place of Jesus’ first miracle transforming water into wine.

Day 3

Around the Sea of Galilee and Mount Tabor

Breakfast in the hotel; our morning begins with a cruise on the Sea of Galilee, using a wooden boat resembling those used during the days of Jesus.  Then proceed to the Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha, were the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish took place, on to St. Peter’s Primacy and then Capernaum. In the afternoon, ascend the Golan Heights visiting Bánias, one of the main sources of the Jordan River, and the location of the Biblical town of Caesarea Philippi. Continue up the Hermon Mountain, possibly the place of Jesus Transfiguration. Cross the Golan Plateau seeing the remains of the last two major wars here fought in 1967 and 1973.

Day 4

To the Kingdom of Jordan

Breakfast in the hotel; after a visit the Baptismal Site at the Jordan River, where pilgrims can renew their Baptismal Vows, arrive to Sheikh Hussein Bridge, border between Israel and Jordan. After completing the border crossing formalities, travel to Mádaba and visit St. George Monastery, holding the oldest map of the Holy land, and Jerusalem in the form of a mosaic. Continue to Mt. Nebo, from where Moses saw the Promised Land, into which he was forbid to enter. Proceed to Amman, Jordan’s capital city, performing a City Tour.

Day 5

To the Nabateans capital, Petra        

Depart Amman and travel along the Patriarch’s Way to Petra, the Nabateans Capital City. Using a caravan on horseback, enter via the SIQ to the monumental building complexes erected over 2000 years ago. See the Khazne (treasury) along impressive monumental burial constructions and the roman theater.

Day 6

Petra, Aqaba, Eilat      

Breakfast in the hotel; Depart from Petra driving south to the Red Sea. See the Jordanian resort city of Aqaba and cross the border to Israel and Eilat via Arava.                                                                   Dinner and overnight Eilat

 

Day 7

To the Mount of God, the Horeb

Breakfast in the hotel; early morning cross the border to Sinai in Taba. Travel the desert paths to the village of St. Catherine, a Bedouin Village located near Mount Sinai. Visit the Coptic Monastery of St. Catherine, where the local monks show the place of the “burning bush”. Climb up the Sinai Mountain, following the path Moses walked during the forty days he spent to receive the Ten Commandments written by God’s finger. Return to the village and drive back to Taba and Eilat.          Dinner and overnight Eilat

 

Day 8

To Jerusalem

Breakfast in the hotel; Depart from Eilat northbound crossing the Arava Valley to the Dead Sea. Visit the Cliff of Masada, Herod’s fortress and castle, where the Zealots conducted their dramatic battle against the romans in 72 AC. Approach the Dead Sea shore line, to “taste” its therapeutically qualities. Continue via the Caves of Qumeran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Climb up the Judean Hills seeing the “Good Samaritan Inn” and the town of Bethany, home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus. Enter Jerusalem via Mount Scopus with a Triumphal Ceremony held in front of the Old City Walls.                Dinner and overnight Jerusalem

 

Day 9

Jerusalem and Bethlehem, Hills and Grottos

Breakfast in the hotel; drive through the different quarters of Jerusalem: Armenian, Muslim and Jewish. Climb the Mount of Olives where some of the most notorious sites are marked by Jesus ministry; walk along the Hosanna” road, reach the Garden of Gethsemane. Cross the Kidron Valley to Mount Zion to visit King David’s City, King David Tomb and the Last Supper Room. Enter the Old City by Zion Gate walking the Jewish Quarters’ Cardo and see the “Broad Wall”. Visit the “Temple Institute” before reaching the Wailing Wall and walk inside the “Rabbinical Tunnel”. In the afternoon cross the border to the Palestinian Authority’s Territory entering Bethlehem, birthplace of King David and his descendant, Jesus Christ; see Rachel’s Tomb, the Shepherds fields and visit the ancient Basilica of Nativity and the Manger Grotto.

Dinner and overnight Jerusalem

 

Day 10

Jerusalem, main Christian Sanctuaries

Breakfast in the hotel; Drive around the city walls entering the old city via Lions Gate. Visit the Pools of Bethesda and the Santana before following Jesus steps to the Golgotha Hill and Joseph of Arimatéa Garden, the place of Jesus Empty Tomb. Enjoy time of prayer, meditation and communion. The rest of the afternoon will be free to exercise personal activities. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem

 

Day 11

Jerusalem, an ancient modern City

Breakfast in the hotel; panoramic city tour of Jerusalem seeing the Presidential Mansion, Governmental Hill, Supreme Court of Justice, Ministries and arrive to the “Knesset”, Israel’s Parliament. Visit the Menorah: 7 Stick Candelabra, and continue to Israel’s Museum to see the Scaled Model of Jerusalem during Jesus’ times; visit the Shrine of the Book were some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited. On to the Museum of the Holocaust, a dramatic presentation of the human atrocities during the Second World War 1939 – 1945. Dinner & overnight Jerusalem

 

Day 12

Transfer to Ben Gurión Airport

After breakfast in the hotel transfer to the airport with assistance.
