Evangelical Holyland Pilgrimage. 6 Days

Day 1

Arrive to Israel, the Promised Holy Land

Explore Joppa where the Prophet Jonah attempted to flee from God and the Apostle Peter had his rooftop vision. Afterwards, tour Caesarea Maritima with its Roman Theatre, Aqueduct and Crusader City. Continuing to Mt. Carmel, enter Stella Maris, the Carmelite Monastery. Then visit Nazareth, with the Basilica of the Annunciation, Joseph’s Workshop and Cana of Galilee, where the first miracle of Jesus took place.

Day 2

Around the Sea of Galilee

Our morning begins with a cruise on the Sea of Galilee using a wooden boat, similar to those used during the times of Christ; continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, and Capernaum, St. Peter’s home. In the afternoon, ascend Mount Tabor, the site of Jesus’ Transfiguration, enjoying a magnificent panoramic view of the Jezreel Valley as well as many other locations mentioned in the Bible. Overnight Tiberias

Day 3

On the way to the city of the great king, Jerusalem

After visiting the Baptismal Site at the Jordan River, travel through the Jordan Valley passing by Jericho seeing the Mt. of Temptation rising behind today’s town; it was here that Jesus healed the blind man, Bartimaeus, and dined on the table of Zaqueus, the tax collector. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, enjoying – weather permitting – a healthy “float” on its salty waters. Then, following the path of Jesus up to Jerusalem, see the Good Samaritan Inn and the town of Bethany entering into Jerusalem, the city of the Greatest of Kings and participate in a Triumphal Entrance ceremony in front of the city’s old walls. Overnight Jerusalem

Day 3

Jerusalem’s Hills and Bethlehem

Begin on Mt. Scopus with a breathtaking view of the Holy City and then on the Mt. of Olives, visit the Place of Jesus’ Ascension and the Pater Noster grotto. Afterwards, walk down the Palm Sunday Path to the Garden of Gethsemane, stopping to visit sites representing Biblical events in the ministry of Jesus. Next, arriving at the Western (Wailing) Wall, go up to the Temple Mount. Then, visit Bethlehem’s Shepherd’s Fields and the Grotto of the Nativity. Overnight Jerusalem

Day 4

Jerusalem, Old and New

Starting on Mt. Zion, tour the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu, the Upper Room of the Last Supper, King David’s Tomb and Dormition Abbey. Entering the Old City via the Zion Gate, walk the Armenian, Jewish and Arab Quarters to reach the Wailing Wall. Entering the Old City via St. Stephan’s Gate, visit the Pools of Bethesda and the Santana. Then, following the Way of the Cross, arrive to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher. Overnight Jerusalem

Day 5

Jerusalem Modern city

Panoramic City Tour of Jerusalem passing by the Governmental Hill seeing the Tribunal of Supreme Justice, Ministries and the Knesset, visiting the Great 7 Stick Candelabra. Continue to the Museum of the Holocaust, main memorial monument to commemorate the horrendous human extermination conducted by the Nazi Germans during the WWW2.
